Soon Clark County will be in full swing prom alert…expect a heavy influx of teens with their mothers hogging the dressing rooms for hours on end.
While complete styling tips will come at a later post, if you are attending this rite of passage, keep in mind that lime green, orange, and unnatural animal prints will be much regretted choices later in life.
If you have already attended, consider turning in your gently worn formal dresses to the Las Vegas Prom Closet.
Each year, this organization of volunteers collect clothing and accessories to give to young ladies who are unable to afford them…free or charge.
Give your special dress a second night out with a girl who will glow in it just as you have.
How you can help
We always need more volunteers to assist in collecting dresses, setting up and running the store. Donations of contemporary gently used or new formal gowns and accessories are always needed. We need dresses in all sizes, colors and styles. Gowns should be in good condition, with no stains or other damage. Donations of store fixtures in good condition are also greatly appreciated.
We are currently collecting gowns and accessories at the following locations:
