Sephora 1000 Point Perk: Marc Jacobs Love and Lust

I love Sephora, always have and always will. However, I have never really been impressed with their rewards system. There are very few sets that have tempted me over the years but I have never actually gotten them. Most of the time there are just deluxe samples or minis which I personally do not think is worth a large chunk of points.

Over the years I have just let my points accumulate hoping for “something better” to come around and well, for me that time has finally come!

 

For the first time that I can think of Sephora has released a 1000 point perk and it actually features full sized products! This 1000 point perk features 2 limited edition shades from Marc Jacobs exclusive to Sephora Beauty Insiders.

The set came in a box with a mini booklet inside and the 2 lip products nestled in a black velvet casing.

I have never purchased any lipstick or lipgloss from the Marc Jacobs selection at Sephora so this was my first introduction to them and I really like them! The pigmentation is really great and the lipgloss isn’t very sticky which is nice. They are definitely richer colors that will look awesome for fall.

Overall I am very happy with this point perk, I like that they are both full sized limited edition shades. It definitely qualifies as that “something more” I was looking for in a Sephora perk. I hope that they continue to produce sets like these in the future because just getting deluxe samples is almost an insult.

We all know to put our best stilleto forward in everything we do. Job interviews, first dates, social events…you name it we have the perfect outfit and speech in mind. But have you put any thought into your lips? You know that thing you talk out of? (other than…nah, too easy)

Enough of the horror stories. The solution? Moisturize. Everything. Stock your purse with a great moisturizer and lip balm.

 A common misconception is that lipgloss or lipstick will cover you but its time to put lie that to bed. Unless you get the good stuff you literally are just slapping on goo. Make it a habit to apply moisturizing chapstick daily before adding on the finishing touches.

 Now I admit it was really hard to find one I liked enough to stick with but after trying dozens upon dozens I have finally found one that works.

Snatch up Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm. It is 100% natural and it works really well. The smell is a little different at first but once you move past that you will definitely be addicted.

Trust, it will save face.
